Tara Weintraub// Director
Tara Weintraub is the director of the Collins Hill Theatre Program. Her love for teaching began at age seventeen with her first experience as an educator. She has always thought of it as a privilege to help students find their passion and give them the opportunity to grow and mature as both artists and individuals. She believes this educational evolution is guided and nurtured by a teacher and mentor, a responsibility which should never be taken lightly. Her theatre teachers shaped her as a student, an actor, a director, as an educator and as a person. They took her love for theatre and turned it into pure passion. This ability to engage and inspire a student is paramount at every level of study. The educators that had the most profound impact on her shared this same spark, this pure passion for their art and for teaching. In making learning both challenging and exciting, they inspired her to push herself academically and become the best that she could possibly be. A favorite of her students Tara makes her classes a joy to be involved in.
